what is a good guitar

Hello fellow readers! Recently we were thinking about what is a good guitar? You know an actual good guitar we can review here at Musical Gear. Not only were we thinking about reviewing it, but we were thinking about what would be an ACTUAL good guitar worth buying.

Nonetheless we had to go out the way to do the research, and sort through all the reviews. After a good study, we finally found our two golden tickets! Of course we couldn’t just pick one guitar, but two. We all know that some of us like acoustic, and some of us love to shred on an electric axe. Furthermore guitar center was the place to blow the dust off this cover.

As we sometimes don’t know, we think it’s safe to wonder what IS a good guitar. An oustanding guitar has to be made of good quality wood. For example there are three major wood categories used in guitar manufacturing, Maple, Mahogany, and Rosewood. These three different types of wood are essential, and allow the guitar to produce different types of tones. Put it this way, some types of wood are more flexible than others. At this point you can imagine the different types of vibrations your guitar can make, just by using different wood types. Another fact about actually choosing a great guitar is fret placement, you want to stick to top brands!

Fret placement is vital, and if the spacing is off by thousandths of an inch you’ll lose your tone all together. Therefore we would encourage buying a Fender, or Gibson, which we will be nominating, and reviewing later in the post. Yay! Although it does not end there, another thing we know that makes a good and outstanding guitar is the type of pickups installed on the guitars body.

What are guitar pickups?

Nonetheless you’re wondering what are guitar pickups, it’s practically the heart of the guitar. The guitar pickups are the six metallic dots that lay under the strings at the base of the guitar.

How do guitar pickups work?

Guitar pickups as mentioned above are the six metallic dots that are electrically magnetized by the guitar amplifier. Thus whenever a string is plucked, the pickup coil picks up the frequency of the sound the string makes. The String sends a sound wave frequency signal through the pickup and to the amplifier producing the sound basically. Kind of like a microphone. All in all choosing an ACTUAL good guitar solemnly relay’s on the quality of the pickups on the body.

So to finish offf, right now we have covered all the basics to “what IS a good guitar”, and we went and did the hunt for you off statistics/reviews.
